Hiya! My name is Melanie (aka MelMuff) and I have joined the waiting list. My ID is #2471. I am 28 and I live in Ontario, Canada. I was looking forward to going but I couldn't book any sooner. I am still strapped for cash after coming back from the Olympics a month ago and I won't be getting paid until Friday of this week. I am sad :( that it sold out before I could get a chance to book but I am happy :) that there is waiting list so I still have chance. I have been a huge BSB fan since 1996 after a high school friend got me hooked on them. I have been to three of their concerts, a year ago I got to touch Nick (my fav) at his birthday party in Montreal and four years ago in Ottawa I got Howie's autograph while he was promoting George, a Canadian singer. I even run a club about them on deviantART, where people submit BSB artwork and stories.
Anyway, I hope that a spot opens up. I signed up for the Ocean View Balcony but I would even be happy with the Ocean View or No View. My e-mail is melmuff@gmail.com and my twitter is @MelMuff.
I might be interested in bringing a family member with me but at this time they are still unsure.
I forgot to add that Brian (my second fav) blew me a kiss at one of their concerts because I held a sign that read "KISS ME". I was 6th row baby. w00t!
Oops, yes, thanks Janine! Forgot to add our waitlist number. We're #2433, which freaks us out a little because it seems like such a big number! And now we don't know what to do... because we were thinking if we can't get the cruise we'll do a trip to the US anyway and catch a bunch of BSB concerts (cos we would've spent the same money on the cruise) or hold out and just put it out the universe that WE WILL BE ON THE BOAT! I can't stop thinking about what an incredible experience it's going to be :-)
Somebody over at the fan club said the nKoTb wait list started at 2400, so it the BSB wait list is similar, it's pretty likely you'll get a phone call. :) Also, on the nKoTb blog, they are up to number 2517 on the wait list receiving phone calls.
Waitlisters dont give up hope and make sure come July you have $700 (original 300 plus 400 payment then 99 if you want insurance) incase they call. Trust me, calls will happen! I was on the NKOTB waitlist number 50 plus there were 50 people on a priority waitlist before they started on the actual waitlist and we got a call the 3rd week of Feb!
Well, Jeannie at Rose Tours pretty much confirmed that the waitlist starts at around 2400 (as you and someone else said, Janine) - I was hoping that was the case, and I'm relieved to hear the same from someone with direct access to the database! I still don't know for sure whether the reservation #s are by room or per person... Anyway, I'll stop hijacking your comments page now ;-)
